Guns everyone's favorite self defense weapon

Guns and gun laws have always been a hot topic to discuss, while you have some believe guns should be restricted other believe restricting their guns is restricting their freedom. I decided to research two interest groups one being liberal the Liberal Gun Club the other is conservative which is the NRA. Liberal Gun Club is moderately left this means they're this means they are liberal, but they are more understanding and open to other beliefs. They surprisingly happen to be pro-Second Amendment despite them being Liberal. Next the NRA, the NRA is extremely conservative claiming to be "Freedom Safest Place." NRA is also pro-Second Amendment which is not surprising.

Liberal Gun Club

Beliefs
They preferably focus on the potential causes that create gun violence like stronger mental health care, addressing poverty, and homelessness and unemployment. The Liberal Gun Club opposes the Assault weapon ban and the magazine restriction. They consider the current restrictions on guns are good and adding more would not be the solution. To them, more gun regulation is "too often political window dressing" that doesn't cure the illness of gun violence. They support increased and more accurate reporting by the states fro NICS reliability. They think states should be presented with incentives to provide more accurate reporting. For example, they think the federal programs should share information with one another. This information would include the mental health state, military discharges, and possibly federal drug testing results. They advocate mandatory safety testing as a condition of licensing for CCW.  The Liberal Gun Club find demonstrating proficiency is less expensive than mandatory training. This eliminates any unreasonable financial barriers that prohibit applicants to a permitting process. They want minimal standard based national CCW reciprocity. This defends states rights and doesn’t require standardless permits on states that don’t desire them.

Beliefs
NRA believes that guns protect them from terrorists or dangerous foreigners as well as a form of protecting their family. Members of the NRA view guns as a necessity especially in low-income areas to protect yourself from muggers, gangs, and rapist. NRA hold guns as real empowerment and defends us from being vulnerable. Guns for the NRA gives them the choice of living another day. They believe guns rights should be protected because the police are unable to protect everyone. The NRA believes that the police can't attend every one which is why guns are needed for self-defense.

Comparison
Surprisingly the NRA and Liberal Gun Club have some things in common. Liberal Gun Club and NRA are both pro-Second Amendment despite being apart of two different political parties. They also both against the assault weapon ban and magazine restriction. The Liberal Gun Club seems to give more reason and logic on why guns shouldn't be further restricted. They recommend attacking the root of the problem, rather than take away what seems to be the problem in this case guns. Both clubs believe that adding more restrictions to guns would be irrational and not fix the amount of gun violence. The Liberal Gun club through goes more in-depth with solutions and gun regulation, for example, more accurate reporting by the states for NICS reliability, mandatory safety testing as a condition of licensing for CCW, and minimal standard based national CCW reciprocity. The NRA uses personal stories as justification for gun rights. They also use intimidation to get their point across and warn rapists, predators, and terrorists, while others use the good ole inspirational we are America speech guns are guns are our unalienable right. The always end it off with "We are Freedom's Safest place" which has two meanings the first being how the NRA protects your guns; second being that you're safe because your guns are protected.

Political Influences
The NRA uses lobbying government which is representatives to advocate on behalf of the group's interests. The representatives use personal stories, their families, and their feeling as a way to justify their right to bear arms. You could also say they use a Citizen action group to promote their ideas. The Liberal Gun Club doesn't really influence political beliefs but instead give possible solutions to the problem.
